Efren Buff De La Rosa, DPM, FACFAS
As a life-long resident, Dr. Efren Buff De La Rosa has a deep commitment to the community of El Paso, TX—where he was born, raised, and began his undergraduate education at El Paso Community College, and the University of El Paso. He continued his education in California, graduating from medical school at The California College of Podiatric Medicine in San Francisco in 1991. He also received post-graduate training with a Podiatric Residency at the Los Angeles County/University of Southern California from 1991-1992, and a Podiatric Surgical Residency at the Delano Regional Medical Center in Delano, CA in 1993.
Dr. De La Rosa was board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery in 2000 and serves as a Board Member of the El Paso Diabetes Association. He is also a member of both the Texas Podiatric Medical Association and the American Podiatric Medical Association. He is affiliated with the Hospitals of Providence Memorial Campus. As a teaching professional, Dr. De La Rosa has served as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Podiatric Medicine at the California College of Podiatric Medicine and is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons (FACFAS).
Dr. De La Rosa’s education, academic and board positions as well as 30 years of experience, make him a distinguished authority on many advanced diagnostic technologies, cutting-edge therapies and leading treatments for many types of foot and ankle disorders—including foot and ankle surgery. Recognizing the importance of continued education and training, Dr. De La Rosa works diligently to stay on top of emerging technologies and treatments to help the people of El Paso feel better and lead their best possible lives. Dr. De La Rosa also enjoys golf, riding motorcycles, and hanging out with his wife and grandkids.
Duane D. Galindo, DPM
Dr. Duane Galindo is proud to have been born and raised in El Paso, TX. After graduating from Canutillo High School, he graduated Cum Laude with a degree in Psychology and double minors in Biology and Chemistry from The University of Texas at El Paso. He then received his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) from the Midwestern University Podiatry program in 2014.
During his residency in 2017 at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio (UTHSCSA) in association with University Hospital, Audie Murphy VA Hospital, and Texan Methodist Hospital, Dr. Galindo received extensive training in diabetic foot care, elective and non-elective surgeries, sports medicine, and other specialized areas of podiatric medicine. Dr. Galindo is Board Certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine and Board Qualified by the American Board of Foot & Ankle Surgeons.
When he is not hard at work providing excellent podiatric care for his fellow El Pasoans, you might find Dr. Galindo playing his guitar, hiking, camping, shooting hoops, restoring an automobile, or even enjoying a fine Mexican meal with his high school sweetheart (who just happens to be his wife).
George Alvarado, DPM
Dr. George Alvarado graduated from UTHSC (The University of Texas Health Science Center) at San Antonio, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Respiratory Therapy. He then received his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) from the Western University of Health Sciences Podiatry program in Pomona, CA in 2017. After moving to Cleveland, Ohio, Dr. Alvarado completed a residency at Mercy Health Regional Medical Center in association with Cleveland Clinic and MetroHealth in 2020, where he became well-versed in reconstructive foot and ankle surgery, limb salvage, and trauma.
Having lived throughout Europe and the United States as an “Army brat”, Dr. Alvarado now enjoys sharing his interest in learning about other cultures with his wonderful Pacific Islander wife and their four children. He also loves participating in sports, hiking, and playing guitar.

Gabriel Lazar, DPM
Dr. Gabriel Lazar has been practicing podiatry in El Paso for over 26 years. He has continued to keep up with the latest technologies and advances in medicine to provide the best health care available. In that time he has treated literally tens of thousands of patients in El Paso. His practice has continued to grow through referrals from doctors and most importantly by patients who have continued to refer him their friends and family members.
Dr. Gabriel Lazar is board certified in both surgery and podiatric primary medicine. He graduated from the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine in 1991. He completed his surgical residency at Park Medical Hospital in Columbus Ohio. He had the privilege of working directly under the guidance of Dr. Gerard Yu, one of the most recognized and respected podiatric surgeons in the country. He has also trained at the renowned Cleveland Clinic in Ohio and The University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio.
